Easter Egg Ornaments

All four of these shiny egg shaped ornaments were designed by Janelle Giese and are available as free pattern downloads via Kreinik.

Easter Egg ornament Designed by Janelle Giese for Kreinik - four free cross stitch patterns available to download

Get the pattern PDF files [here] and [here]. There are four egg patterns all together, in two PDFs. All the designs do include specialty stitches, but the pattern files include some instruction to help you along with them.

quick tip: While they are shown as Easter ornaments, these are basically just tiny band samplers. You can easily change things up in the finishing if you don’t want to have them as egg-shaped ornaments. You could make square ornaments instead, of course. You could also do up some tiny flat-folds, hanging sachets, needlebooks, bell pulls, or just about anything else with these delightful little patterns.

I know it says it’s an ornament, and it certainly makes a beautiful addition to the holiday decor, but with all those amazing Kreinik holographic braid colors I’m definitely going to be keeping this beauty on display in my office all year round.

Winter from The Floss Box

This is a cute little seasonal freebie from The Floss Box.

If you wanted to make it into an ornament, you could leave the word “winter” off and just close the border under the snow, or leave it on, either way I think it works as an ornament.

Maybe stitch the moon and stars with some glow-in-the-dark Kreinik for some added fun.

You’ll find the pattern [here] on The Floss Box site.

I Love You Alphabet Ornament

I found this cute little alphabet sampler ornament on Pinterest last year and I’ve stitched it up twice now. It’s a great design and a super quick stitch, so it makes for a perfect last minute gift.

I think the next one I do, I’ll add beads for the I <3 U part so it stands out even more. The pattern has both lower case and upper case alphabets, you can stitch just one or stitch both and have one on each side of the ornament. Pattern is available PosyCollection.com
